Next in the range is the Vito, which is a light van that was introduced in 1996 and has been an extremely popular van amongst small business owners. The second generation Vito was released in 2003 and is more streamlined than its predecessor, and has a new range of diesel engines including a 2.0 and 2.2 CDI. It also is rear wheel drive. The Vito is available in three lengths, and there are three variants of the 2.2 CDI engine; 109 CDI, 111 CDI, 115 CDI and then a 120 CDI, which is a 3.0 V6 diesel. In 2010 came a facelift and slight tweaks to all the diesel engines. There are three lengths; compact, long and extra-long.

This is available in a number of body styles, including panel van, chassis cab, minibus and pickup truck with dropsides or a flatbed rear. The second generation was released in 2006 and has been extremely popular thanks to it's powerful and reliable diesel engines, with later models having the new BlueEfficiency CDI diesel engines which are even more economical than ever.
