Engines and Driving Experience
A selection of diesel and petrol engines are available with the Tourneo Connect. These come in the form of two petrol engines, a 98bhp 1.0-litre and a 147bhp 1.6-litre, along with two diesel engines, a 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre. The diesel engines are available with varying power outputs, between 93bhp and 118bhp.
The diesels are unsurprisingly the most economical with between 40mpg and 60mpg possible, whilst the petrol versions deliver between 30mpg and 50mpg.
A breathtaking driving experience is not likely in an MPV, but Ford has worked their magic yet again to make this MPV drive like a car. This is an excellent trait to have in a boxy MPV body.
Practicality and Running Costs
With the Ford Tourneo Connect, you can move the rear seats to give a greater load area - making use of its van DNA to ensure the Tourneo Connect can be a practical five-seater one minute, and then a plusher van the next.
Therefore, with all seats in place, the Tourneo Connect offers a fantastic 1,029 litres of boot space - up to the tall roofline. With the seats folded, this increases to a massive 2,410 litres of space.

Interior, Technology and Safety
Along with a substantial load space, the Tourneo Connect offers decent seating space too. The cockpit is a familiar place to be for anyone who has been in a Ford vehicle, with easy to operate and navigate controls.
Updated in 2019, the later models come with a better standard specification, which feature up-to-date colour screens, rather than the older analogue screens - which do make the cabin feel dated a tad, but are familiar with their age. Older models do have a certain simplistic charm about them, and are therefore easy to drive and operate.
Newer models received a Euro NCAP five star safety rating, with ABS and ESC coming as standard.
