Producing a colossal 547bhp from a 4.4-litre V8 engine, along with all-wheel drive, the BMW X5 M could accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 4.7 seconds. It had no trouble deploying power whether on or off road.
Interior and exterior style was actually quite subtle for an M product, with the quad exhaust tips and signature blue M brakes being an indication of M Power from the outside. Inside, the typical Germanic premium BMW vibe was present, and despite seeming plain by modern M car standards, it was still a classy place to spend time. Boot and cabin space was also excellent.
