The Type R comes with five doors as standard, which allows passengers to climb in the rear easily and reduces hassle when fitting a child seat. Once inside, occupants will have little to complain about thanks to generous head and legroom throughout. However, there's no middle seat on the rear bench, meaning only two rear passengers can enjoy the thrills of the Type R.
An impressive 420 litres of boot space is provided, which increases to 1,580 litres when dropping the back seats. This is more than what most rivals have to offer, making the Type R one of the best all rounders on the hot hatchback market.
