Citroën has announced that the new ë-Berlingo and ë-SpaceTourer people movers are due on the road in April 2024 with prices starting from £30,990 and £37,990 respectively.

Both feature the new Citroën logo and while the ë-SpaceTourer is electric only, the Berlingo will be available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines as well as the EV model.

Prices for the petrol powered 100bhp BlueTech Berlingo start from £23,090 while the BlueHDi diesels develop 130bhp and cost from £24,190.

The e-Berlingo is available in two trim levels, Plus and Max.

Plus variants will come in two sizes - M at 4.41 metres long and XL which has a length of 4.76 metres - with XL versions offering seating for up to seven. With the front passenger seat folded down, the load length extends to 2.70m for the M version and 3.05m for the XL version and the vehicle has 27 different storage compartments, resulting in 186 litres of practical storage space inside.

Max specification is electric only and is fitted with Citroën’s Advanced Comfort front seats while in the rear there are three independent, sliding and folding seats. Max versions also come with 17-inch alloy wheels, gloss black roof bars and a leather steering wheel.

The new ë-Berlingo also features the latest My Citroën Drive Plus infotainment system as standard, which offers a high-definition 10-inch touchscreen available with 3D Connected Navigation, wireless smartphone mirroring compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and also displays the rearview reversing camera.

It is powered by a 136bhp motor and has a range of up to 205 miles with 80 percent recharging times of 30 minutes from a fast charging station.

Like the ë-Berlingo, the ë-SpaceTourer comes in two lengths of 4.98m and 5.33m with the latter capable of carrying up to nine people.

Private drivers can choose between 5, 7and 8-seater versions, while the 9-seat version is aimed at professional users.

There’s also a VIP seating pack available, which features a reversible second row and seating up to seven people.

The e-SpaceTourer’s range has been extended to 217 miles and the vehicle is available in two trim levels: You! and top-of-the-range Max. Both trim levels are available in M and XL body lengths.

You! models come with either 50kWh or 75kWh batteries. Key standard features include a fully digital driver’s display, a 10-inch HD touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring, rear parking sensors and several safety features, including keep lane assist, active safety brake, speed limit information with intelligent speed assist, high beam assist, and driver attention alert.

Max models feature a 180-degree parking camera with front and rear parking sensors and lateral park assist, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seat trim, two hands-free sliding electric rear doors, heated front seats with massage function, and a heated leather steering wheel.

The 50kWh battery has a range of 139 miles and can be fully recharged in six hours 40 minutes, while the 75kWh battery has an 11 hours 20 minutes recharging time from a standard supply.

Using an 11kW AC charger, full recharge is achieved in four hours 50 minutes for the 50kWh battery and 7 hours 30 minutes for the 75kWh battery. With a 100kW DC rapid charger, it takes 38 minutes for the 50kWh battery or 45 minutes for the 75kWh battery to charge to 80 percent capacity.

Prices for the ë-Berlingo top out at £33,505 in Max trim while the ë-SpaceTourer costs from £38,890 in XL length with top specification Max versions priced from £54,230 in M length and £55,130 in the longer XL.
