Although there are better handling SUVs in terms of outright performance, the Deepal S07 rides and responds well, with no major gripes, giving you enough agility that it doesn’t feel out of its depth when the road begins to twist.
On the efficiency side, with its 80kWh battery, it delivers a reasonable WLTP driving range of 295 miles, which is similar to rivals such as the Skoda Enyaq or Tesla Model Y, offering enough range to cover everyday commutes and weekend trips.

The Changan Deepal S07 has one trim level and wins with lots of tech, such as its clear, simple 15.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen that controls all major functions and an additional AR Head-Up Display for the driver.
The strong tech focus is matched by a generous amount of high-spec standard equipment, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smartphone connectivity, a panoramic glass roof, a 360° camera, and a 40-watt wireless fast charger, ensuring it feels every bit as well-equipped as more established rivals.
