Most NX models you'll find on the used market will be in 'NX300h' form and come with the brand's efficient 2.5-litre petrol hybrid system. This powertrain produces a total of 155bhp and can achieve 0 to 62mph in 9.2 seconds and fuel economy figures of up to 54mpg combined.

A less common but more powerful 2.0-litre petrol turbo variant can also be found on the used market, called the 'NX200t'; production ended in 2017. With 235bhp and a 0 to 62mph time of 7.1 seconds, this variant is a bit more dynamic to drive. Fuel economy is sacrificed somewhat though, offering figures of around 36mpg combined.

No matter which variant you opt for you can expect a refined ride that's ideal for cruising up and down motorways and A-roads. Four-wheel drive is a common sight too, but front-wheel drive is available.

Practicality and Running Costs

Due to the batteries for the hybrid system being placed underneath the boot floor, carrying capacity may be less than what you'll find in some rivals. The 475-litre space is well-shaped and can accommodate a few bags of luggage or a pushchair fairly easily though. Folding down the rear seats provides access to a larger 1,520-litre area if needed.

The NX shines when it comes to cabin design, offering plenty of head and legroom for occupants, especially those in the front. Other available features such as a powered tailgate, ISOFIX mounting points, various storage compartments and power-adjustable front seats enhance the NX's appeal and versatility even further.

The sharp exterior aesthetics continue inside the cabin, with high-quality materials being used throughout. Entry-level models come well-equipped with leather upholstery, satellite navigation and an 8.0-inch cursor-controlled navigation system.
