This is the third generation of the Nissan Navara, which came along in 2014, before being discontinued in early 2022.
Its robustness and character to 'get the job done' has seen it become successful throughout its time on sale, with Mercedes-Benz wanting a piece of the action after launching the X-Class in 2016, which was based on the Navara.

Economy, Towing, and Performance
Economy in the Nissan Navara is excellent. All engines are diesel and provide plenty of poke and lots of pulling power. Being a pick-up, the Navara is pretty car-like, which is always a good thing with a commercial vehicle, as most tend to be bulky and not that easy to drive.
You'll see between 40 and 45mpg, which is impressive considering the size and robustness of the Navara.
Nearly all models are 4WD, meaning they're also excellent off-road, so if your job takes you off the beaten track, you'll have no problem if you're behind the wheel of a Navara.
And all the pulling power comes in handy too, with the Navara's ability to tow an incredible 3,500kg.
Bodystyles, Payload, and Capacity
As for bodystyles, there's just the regular pick-up truck body available on the Nissan Navara. However, when looking at the used examples for sale, you'll be able to pick between the King Cab which has short rear doors, along with occasional rear seats. There's also the Double Cab with full-sized doors along with proper rear seats - although there is a shorter load bed.
Payload will therefore vary depending on which model you go for, ranging from 1,025kg to 1,315kg.

Interior, Technology, and Safety
The interior of the Nissan Navara is similar to that of the manufacturer's SUVs of the same era, and therefore are pretty respectable for a commercial vehicle.
There's plenty of passenger space and the Double Cab has ISOFIX so can double as a family pick-up when needed.
Tech is pretty good with a central infotainment screen (on higher specs) and easy enough to figure out ergonomics. Standard tech - coming in the Navara 'Visia' includes Bluetooth, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control and hill descent control.
N-Connecta and Tekna models are the high spec choices with the former including sat-nav and the latter having a leather interior along with enhanced safety - such as rear parking sensors.
Standard safety kit includes seven airbags and electronic stability control, whilst all Double Cab model also feature autonomous emergency braking.
