Introducing the All-New Kia Soul EV
The latest generation of Kia Soul is all-electric only, offering an impressive range of up to 280 miles on a single charge. You're still getting all of the eccentric design features and excellent practicality of the Soul we all know and love, but this future-proof EV from Kia takes innovation to a whole new level.
It's a spacious, well-equipped hatchback that will comfortably seat five people, and the funky design of this third-generation model sets it apart in the growing electric vehicle market.
Take a look below at some of the features of the All-New Soul EV.
Design and Practicality
The funky All-New Kia Soul EV remains unmistakable on the road, its iconic boxy shape remaining but updated completely to satisfy modern tastes - every bit of the Soul EV is brand-new.
The urban-crossover design is slightly longer than the old car, but this means that practicality is improved with a bigger boot that can be extended by folding down the rear seats.
Interior room is great thanks to the proportions of the car, with plenty of headroom and rear leg room in the light and airy cabin space.
Technology and Safety
Technology is something that the Soul has always excelled at, and this all-new third generation model is no different.
The 10.25-inch 'floating' touchscreen infotainment system houses all of your navigation and entertainment functions, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. You can enjoy all of your music on a 10-speaker Harmon/Kardon premium sound system while your phone juices up on the handy wireless charging pad.
A reversing camera and reversing sensors are included as standard, as are advanced safety features such as high beam assist, driver attention warning, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning and forward collision avoidance-assist.
Range and Performance
With an all-electric driving range of 280 miles, the Soul EV is one of the best performers on the market in terms of length of time between charges. It can be recharged to 80 percent battery capacity in just 54 minutes using a 100kW charger, or 75 minutes using a 50kW charger.
The 201bhp electric motor means that performance is brisk - acceleration from 0 to 60mph takes just 7.6 seconds, thanks to instant power and torque availability, a major advantage over petrol or diesel engines.
Smart regenerative braking ensures energy recuperation is as high as possible, helping you to achieve the maximum amount of range.
