Technology and Safety
All models come with a 15.4-inch HD display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easy to stay in touch with your world when you're out and about. Higher specifications add a 13.8-inch head-up display that projects speed and navigation prompts directly into your line of sight, making it easier to keep your eyes on the road.
A 360-degree camera system, complete with an under-vehicle view, comes standard on all models, while heated front seats with electric adjustment and wireless phone charging are included on higher trim levels.

Powertrains and Performance
Built from the ground up as a plug-in hybrid rather than a converted ICE model, the Starray EM-i combines a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and a choice of two lithium iron phosphate batteries. The larger pack delivers up to 84 miles of pure electric range, while the smaller one provides up to 51 miles (both WLTP figures). With the average UK commute totalling around 20 miles a day, most journeys can be made without burning any fuel at all.
The system operates in three modes depending on your needs: Pure (electric-only), Hybrid (switching between power sources) and Power (combining both for maximum performance). Take to the road, and you'll notice that the Starray EM-i is both smooth and quiet.
Combined range is up to 618 miles with the larger battery, meaning long motorway trips don't require any planning around charge points, while the 0 to 62mph acceleration time is 8.0 seconds.
Charging
For everyday use, a 7kW home wallbox can recharge the larger battery in just over 4.5 hours, or the smaller one in around 3 hours - making overnight charging an obvious solution for regular top-ups.
On longer trips, the Starray EM-i also supports 60kW DC fast charging, allowing you to go from 30 to 80 percent in around 16 to 20 minutes, depending on your pack. That's quick enough to add meaningful range during a stop for a quick coffee.
The system is designed to prioritise electric driving wherever possible, which means if you're organised about plugging in at home, you could realistically complete weeks of local driving without using any petrol at all.
