What is Tyre and Alloy Damage Cover?
Tyre and Alloy Wheel Damage Cover is an insurance product that provides comprehensive cover against unexpected damage to your vehicle's wheels and tyres that can easily be caused by high kerbs or potholes that are encountered during everyday driving.
Here's what's covered:
- Cover for 24 or 36 months with tyres covered for up to £250 or £450 and alloy wheels covered for up to £250 depending on the policy purchased
- 5 tyre repairs or replacements
- 12 alloy wheel refurbishments
- Cost of materials and labour to repair, balance and re-fit a tyre
- Cost of materials and labour to repair the damage to the alloy wheel

The main benefit is that you are covered against any unexpected accidental or malicious damage to your car's wheels and tyres which could otherwise result in a costly repair bill. Ensuring your wheels are kept in good condition can also protect the value of the vehicle.
Tyre repairs & replacements and alloy repairs are carried out via an established national repair network. You'll receive up to £200 contribution towards the cost of an alloy wheel repair or replacement if it’s not repairable using the approved repairer.

No. Normal wear and tear due to age and/or usage is not covered by Tyre and Alloy Wheel Insurance.
Tyres need to be used at the correct pressure, and have 1.6mm of tread or more left on them to be covered. Tyres also need to be maintained correctly, and incorrect wheel balancing, defective steering geometry/tracking, or defective suspension is not covered by the policy.
No. Fire damage, damage caused by a road traffic accident and theft of alloy wheels or tyres is not covered.
