The Renault Clio is a popular supermini that's been a mainstay in the UK for quite some time now.

Design and Practicality
This new generation of Clio is brought in line with sister models from across the range with the new family face making it more distinctive than ever before. The expressive central air scoop on the enhanced front bumper surrounds a larger front grille and LED headlights which are standard across the range.
Retaining the old Clio's sleek profile was a deliberate decision, made simply because it found so much favour with customers of the previous generation car. Sport touches on the side of the car include hidden rear door handles and chrome window surrounds.
Boot size is with the best in the supermini class at 391 litres that can be expanded to a massive 1,069 litres with the rear seats folded.
Interior and Technology
Available for the first time on a car of this size is the option of a portrait 9.3-inch EASY LINK central touchscreen infotainment system that controls the multimedia, navigation and MULTI-SENSE functions.
Completing the tech upgrades in the 'Smart Cockpit' is the 10-inch TFT instrument cluster that is fully configurable to the driver's tastes, and allows navigation instructions to be directly in front of you for maximum convenience.
Around the rest of the cabin there's a genuine premium feeling, emphasised by the satin finish metal trim, soft touch plastics and enveloping seats.
All versions of the Renault Clio come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality as standard, allowing you to conveniently connect your smartphone.
Engines and Performance
Gone are the days of confusing powertrain line-ups, as Renault has equipped the Clio with a simplified, yet super efficient, choice of powertrains.
Kicking off the range is the small, yet punchy, TCe 90 petrol powertrain, offering a balance between performance and efficiency. As expected from the name, it produces just over 90bhp - on paper, this doesn't sound like much, but it's more than enough for zipping around town while also being plenty competent on larger motorways.
An intelligent full hybrid system is also available, tagged the 'full hybrid E-Tech 145 Auto'. This will be the go-to choice for those looking for a bit more punch while also benefitting from enhanced levels of efficiency. 147bhp is readily on-tap, while 65mpg combined is more than achievable when driving in a sensible manner. Being a full hybrid, regenerative braking does all of the recharging as you drive, so there's no need to plug in.
Standard petrol variants come with a manual gearbox, while the full hybrid options are equipped with an automatic.
