Design and Practicality
Renault have developed a completely new platform for the all-new Megane E-Tech Electric, meaning they can mount the battery lower. Because of this, the centre of gravity is low and there's a large amount of space inside for passengers.
Building on the traditional hatchback bodystyle, the all-new Megane E-Tech boasts a compact design that borrows elements from SUVs. As a result, drivers will benefit from a clearer view of the road ahead and a car that's easy to manoeuvre in and around town.
The all-new Megane E-Tech is ideal for families because it's only available with five doors, each of which opens wide to grant convenient access to the cabin. In the back, there are ISOFIX anchor points on the outer seats, ideal for fitting a child's seat.
Interior, Technology, and Safety
Dominating the interior is the newly introduced OpenR screen, which combines both the instrument cluster and multimedia system in an upside-down 'L'-shape. Using a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, it offers seamless navigation between the menus, whilst the interfaces themselves are visually pleasing.
Allowing you to tailor the driving experience are four driving modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport and My Sense). The final drive mode allows you to choose the settings to suit your driving style. You can change modes using the steering wheel button or voice control.

The all-new Megane E-Tech Electric is compatible with all AC charging infrastructure, which is essentially anything from your regular household 3-pin socket through to public charging stations.
Using a 7.4kW wallbox home charger, you can recover up to 248 miles of range in just eight hours. If you're on the move, then you can recover up to 99 miles of range in one hour using a 22kW public charging station.
Depending on the version you opt for, the all-new Megane E-Tech Electric can also support DC charging, which are classed as rapid chargers. With DC 130kW, you can recover up to 186 miles of range in just 30 minutes. If you're doing motorway speeds, then you can expect up to 124 miles of range in the same period of time.
