Evans Halshaw DAF now has Authorised Testing Facilities (ATF) available at each of its four locations covering South & West Yorkshire & the North East of England following heavy investment in new state-of-the-art testing lanes.
Following changes made by the government that compulsory LGV tests on goods vehicles, trailers and public sector vehicles can now be completed at private dedicated lanes approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as opposed to VOSA centres.
The change has encouraged a number of private sector operators to open dedicated lanes where tests can be taken by DVSA inspectors. Evans Halshaw DAF were quick to react and offer ATF facilities at each of its locations with the added benefit of Dangerous Goods testing at 3 of the 4 testing lanes & Safe load pass certification at 1.
Evans Halshaw DAF offer a complete solution for the commercial vehicle sector “We understand how valuable vehicle uptime is to operators and continue to build our business around the basic principle of maximising vehicle utilisation with a real emphasis on providing customers a one stop shop solution,” explained Director Wayne Edwards.
“Customers can get all aspects of their vehicles routine maintenance, service or repair carried out in our workshops 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and while their vehicle is with us we can also take care of their MOT, saving them time-consuming and costly trips to a VOSA site. This means their trucks spend less time off the road and more time on the job.”
The Authorised Testing Facility is currently available five days per week – Monday to Friday at each of our sites in Birtley, Leeds, Sheffield and Stockton and we also offer MOT testing of class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles – vans and cars.
