The hotly-anticipated new Vauxhall Corsa-e is set to be one of the biggest new cars of 2019, being the first all-electric model in the Vauxhall range.
As we all know, the Corsa is already one of the most popular cars in the UK, with over 2.1 million models sold in this country since it launched in 1993. Its compact dimensions, comfortable interior and easy driving make it a popular choice for a wide range of buyers. The addition of an electric version will only add to its popularity. Let's take a look at its key features.
Along with the Grandland X plug-in hybrid (set to go on sale in late 2019) the Corsa-e will lead Vauxhall's electric charge this year, as part of the brand's PACE! strategy to reduce CO2. Two more electric models are set to follow in 2020: a successor to the Mokka X SUV and a new Vivaro van.
Vauxhall's shared multi-energy platforms make it possible to offer various propulsion systems on a common platform, which is key to their production of electric models. As a result, Vauxhall aims to have an electrified version of every model in its range by 2024. Exciting times for the British brand!
