Used Hyundai iLoad for sale
The Hyundai iLoad was on sale new between 2009 and 2019. It's essentially the same as the Hyundai i800 which is a people carrier, only instead of seats, there's a dedicated load area.
It was launched as a budget medium-sized van, and did well to stay on sale for a decade as this particular sector is ultra-competitive with the likes of the Ford Transit Custom being a constant best-seller. But the Ford didn't come along until 2012 so the Hyundai being launched first was an advantage.
Maybe it's because the iLoad was a simple concept, as it stayed on sale for a while. This was because it had one engine and one size - ideal for those who want a no-nonsense approach to van ownership.
Despite its 'modern' name, it's not actually electric. It uses a sole 2.5-litre diesel that isn't exactly amazing, with economy of 37mpg, but it does the job. There's plenty of load space, with a payload of up to 1,186kg. Unbraked towing capacity for the iLoad is 750kg; as is the case with all vans, whilst the braked trailer figure rises to 2,000kg.
