Introducing the Ford Fiesta Van
Receiving an upgrade to provide even more benefits, the new 2022 Fiesta Van is an ideal partner for those who don't need something as large as the Transit Connect. Combining an engaging driving experience, similar to the regular Fiesta, with van-like practicality and robustness, the usual characteristics still remain from preceding generations.
With greater differentiation between models being implemented, the new 2022 Fiesta Van comes in two different series (Trend and Sport) each with their own distinct interior and exterior styling features. A range of intelligent technology has also been included to provide assistance when driving or completing tricky manoeuvres.
An efficient mild-hybrid powertrain option is also available, making your working life as cost-effective and productive as ever, whilst a generous load space of 0.96m3 results in less hassle when loading a gross payload of up to 531kg.
Design and Practicality
Whilst based off of the new 2022 Fiesta supermini's frame, the new 2022 Fiesta Van maximises rear load space by implementing a grippy flat rear load floor with a maximum load length of 1,283mm. This provides a useful, total load volume of 0.96m3 and gross payload of up to 531kg.
Other bits of handy equipment are also present, including four tie-down points and a full-height bulkhead with steel mesh to ensure stability of your cargo and enhance visibility.
Solid panels replace the rear-glazing you'd find on a normal Fiesta, giving you peace of mind whilst out on the road.
Technology and Safety
Coming with new technologies for city driving, the new 2022 Fiesta Van offers advanced driving assistance to make journeys between jobs as comfortable and stress-free as possible. All models benefit from LED headlights as standard, with sensors activating further lights, such as the manoeuvring light, dependent upon the scenario.
Other available features include a parking pack, which can automatically detect parking spaces for hands-free perpendicular and parallel parking. Ford's clever SYNC 3 communications system can also be used to inform the driver with live traffic and hazard updates to ensure you make it to jobs on time.
If preceding generations are anything to go by, you can expect the new 2022 Fiesta Van to be a very safe vehicle. A range of driver aids and safety equipment is available, including:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert
- Lane-keeping aid
- Pre-collision assist
Engines and Performance
The powertrains, coming in the form of an EcoBoost 48-volt mild-hybrid or a traditional EcoBoost petrol engine, are designed to be as economical as ever. Both offer good fuel economy figures to reduce costs whilst you're at work.
The EcoBoost mild-hybrid powertrain offers up to 13% higher fuel efficiency than its petrol equivalent, thanks to features such as a belt-driven integrated starter/generator (BISG) that can harvest energy that is normally lost when braking and coasting.
As it's based on the new 2022 Fiesta car, all engine variants offer the driver an engaging driving experience to ensure you don't get bored whilst behind the wheel at work.
