Introducing the Dacia Jogger

As part of the brand's ambitions to introduce more models to its range by 2025, Dacia are releasing a new family car: the Jogger.

Arriving in Evans Halshaw Dacia retailers from early 2022, the Jogger will be available with five or seven seats, making it an immensely practical car for the family. What's more, the Jogger will be available with two different types of engine: a traditional petrol and an LPG bi-fuel option.

The Jogger represents a middle-ground between the Sandero and the larger Duster, making it a great option if you want something that's rugged yet practical.

Design and Practicality

Dacia Jogger seat configurations

Despite looking like an SUV, the Jogger has been designed to be the same length as a traditional estate, yet offer the interior space you'd expect from an MPV. As a result, there is a huge amount of space inside for passengers, as well as the family pet.

The Jogger is available with either five or seven seats, depending on your needs. According to Dacia, there are up to 56 different seating configurations available inside the Jogger, making it versatile.

Unsurprisingly, there's a colossal amount of boot space on offer, ranging from 607 litres all the way up to 1,819 litres. To access the higher capacity you'll need to fold all of the rear seats down.

On the outside, the Jogger offers a healthy ground clearance of 200mm, which is ideal for tackling muddy backroads. You'll also benefit from moulded roof bars as well as alloy wheels with chunky tyres.

Technology and Safety

Dacia Jogger interior

The Jogger is available with a choice of multimedia systems; one is a traditional set up that incorporates a tablet-like 8-inch screen mounted at the top of the dashboard, while the other places your smartphone at the centre of the experience. You'll still be able to access the radio interface via your phone thanks to a clever app.

Alongside Bluetooth, the Jogger is available with the likes of Apple Car Play and Android Auto, which makes for seamless smartphone connectivity. To provide enhanced safety when driving, the Jogger is available with the following features:

  • Parking assistance and rear view camera
  • Blind spot warning
  • Hill Start Assist
  • Emergency brake assist

As you'd expect from a modern car such as the Jogger, you can get luxuries such as air-conditioning and an electronic parking brake.

Engines and Performance

Dacia Jogger side profile

Upon release, the Jogger will be available with two engines, which we've highlighted below:

Petrol / LPG (bi-fuel)

  • 1.0-litre TCe turbocharged petrol engine producing 110bhp
  • 1.0-litre LPG Bi-fuel engine producing 100bhp

Official details on fuel economy haven't been released yet. However, the petrol engine and LPG units used in their other models have a reputation for producing low emissions and returning excellent fuel economy. Dacia have confirmed that the Jogger will fully comply with Euro 6D regulations.

It has also been confirmed that a hybrid version of the Jogger will be released in 2023, which will make it the best value 7-seater hybrid car on the market.

New 2022 Dacia Jogger: coming soon to Evans Halshaw

Having removed the Dacia Logan MPV from the range, there was a gap in Dacia's range for a practical family car. The Jogger fills that gap perfectly, and will manage to cater for families who want the practicality of an MPV, but don't want to lose out on the looks of an SUV.

The Jogger is set to arrive in our retailers from early 2022. If you'd like to learn more about the Jogger, or if you simply want to stay informed, please contact your nearest Evans Halshaw Dacia retailer.
