In true Alpine style, despite being an electric car, known for their heaviness, the A290 comes in at 1,479kg, meaning the driving experience is rather fun and stays true to the dynamic feel of Alpine.

Practicality and Running Costs

As a hatchback, a used Alpine A290 is rather practical. This is because it comes with five doors as standard, and a more than generous 326-litre boot. Perfect for the weekly shop, family items or some medium sized luggage.

Being electric, the running costs will be significantly cheaper than most new hot hatchbacks with a petrol engine, with around 226 miles of range possible, too. Servicing should also be fairly reasonable being part of the Renault Group and due to the cars electric nature, although tyres and brakes should not be overlooked and kept on top of like any car.
