Introducing the new Vauxhall Grandland

The Grandland has been Vauxhall’s staple large SUV for a number of years now. Due to its excellent commercial success, the manufacturer is launching a brand-new version of the Grandland with several external and internal enhancements, as well as introducing an all-electric model.

Aiming to bring a futuristic design, this new version of the Grandland showcases exclusive details and features previously seen on Vauxhall’s concept car.

The new technology and impressive range for the EV will provide a thrilling experience and futuristic sensation.

Perfectly designed for a family daily use, the new Grandland is stylish, comfortable and spacious.

Design and Practicality

Showcasing design enhancements, the new Grandland is bound to make an impression. A 3D Vizor with illuminated griffin logo and extra highlights that include the Intelli-Lux Pixel HD lighting system were added to the exterior of the vehicle.

These features were first seen on Vauxhall’s concept car, and have been perfectly added to this vehicle.

This new version is larger than the previous generation, increasing the cabin space, making the driver and passengers more comfortable with extra leg and headroom. The greater overall size also provides extra room for the boot, which is capable of holding 550 litres that can be extended to 1,641 litres with the rear seats folded down.

When it comes to technology, the new Grandland is a winner. Equipped with industry leading Intelli-Lux Pixel Matrix HD and combined with a camera, it’s possible to detect oncoming objects with higher precision than the previous generation.

The 16-inch infotainment system is intuitive to use and provides easy connectivity to smartphones, which is great for navigation and accessing previously saved addresses.

As safety is always a priority, this new generation of the Grandland is equipped with several safety features, that provide peace of mind to the driver and everyone on board. Among some of the features you’ll find are:

  • Automatic Cruise Control with Stop & Go function
  • Extended Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Intelligent Speed Adaptation and
  • In Crash Braking

Engines and Performance

Vauxhall is introducing an 100 percent electric version of the Grandland. Providing an impressive 435-mile range, this vehicle is totally emissions-free.

The hybrid-electric is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces 134bhp.

More information about the engines is expected to be available at a later date.

Charging

Equipped with flat battery packaging and up to 98kWh, the Grandland provides an electrifying experience.

The battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes at a rapid charger.
