Introducing the Grandland X

As an overall SUV package, Vauxhall have really nailed it with the Grandland X.  It's a bold and powerful model that's capable of tackling the rough and handling the smooth. It boasts sporty design and off-road styling touches on the outside, and has comfortable elevated seating for five passengers and generous luggage space on the inside.

Just like you, the Grandland X is hungry for adventure, with ultra-modern driver assistance systems and excellent all-round visibility, giving you a great view of the road ahead.

It's standard equipment is really generous too, making the Grandland X a fantastic value proposition for family buyers.

Design and Practicality

Vauxhall Grandland X Driving

Strong and athletic, the Grandland X leaves you in no doubt about its purpose with robust SUV styling touches visible from every perspective. The front skid plate, muscular, sculptured wheel arches, protective cladding and powerful, solid stance all contribute to its seriously handsome exterior look.

It's the largest SUV that Vauxhall currently make, resulting in excellent levels of practicality, space and comfort for all the family.

Rear leg and head room is more than generous, and the boot is larger than the one you'll find on regular family hatchbacks, while folding the rear seats reveals a pretty much flat loading space for those trips to the tip.

Interior and Technology

Vauxhall Grandland X Interior

Don't be fooled by the simple and well laid out controls, the Grandland X packs the kind of advanced technology you'd expect in an ultra-modern vehicle.

You can project your smartphone onto the dashboard with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and the cruise control system is so clever that it will ask you if you'd like to set it to the current speed limit - it knows what the limit is thanks to road-sign recognition.

The touchscreen infotainment system is easy to use and houses all your navigation, audio and driver information displays, while higher-spec versions will have voice control too.

Economy and Performance

There's a variety of petrol and diesel engines to choose from with the Grandland X, plus a plug-in hybrid variant too. If you're doing long distances or towing, you'll likely want to opt for one of the diesel models, which are available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.

The petrol turbo models offer good performance too, and the start/stop system ensures they use as little fuel as possible.

The ultimate version of the Grandland X comes in the form of a plug-in hybrid model, that has 296bhp and all-wheel drive, or 225bhp and front-wheel drive. It's able to travel up to 35 miles on electric power alone, before switching to petrol/electric power for an official combined fuel economy figure of 204mpg.
