Introducing the Ford Tourneo Connect
The Ford Tourneo Connect has been completely overhauled, and comes with an improved interior design as well as the option for all-wheel drive.
Ford have designed the Tourneo Connect to be as versatile as you need it to be. Whether you spend a lot of time taking part in leisure activities, or you want a family car that offers excellent practicality, the Tourneo Connect can easily accommodate you.
With up to seven seats available alongside two different body lengths, the Tourneo Connect can be tailored to your needs and requirements.
Joining the versatile interior are an efficient range of petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engines and driver aids, which you can learn more about below.
Design and Practicality
The Ford Tourneo Connect is available with either five or seven seats, depending on what your needs are. If you opt for seven seats then you can fold the second and third row of seats down to create a spacious area for work or sports equipment.
Ford also offers the Tourneo Connect in two different body lengths the standard Tourneo Connect and long-wheelbase Grand Tourneo Connect. By removing the rear seats you'll have up to 3.1 cubic metres of space in the Grand Tourneo Connect, and up to 2.6 cubic metres in the Tourneo Connect; ideal for transporting bulky and cumbersome items.
Similar to other vehicles in the Ford range, the Tourneo Connect is available as an 'Active' variant. This particular version benefits from increased ground clearance and protective body cladding.
Technology and Safety
To make life easier when driving, the Tourneo Connect features a user-friendly 8.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard. You can also choose to specify a larger, 10-inch screen on any model should you wish; although this is standard fit on higher-spec Titanium, Sport and Active variants.
The Tourneo Connect will be compatible with the FordPass app, too. This useful app allows you to check vital information about the vehicle, such as where you parked, whether it's locked or unlocked, and your average fuel consumption. It can even provide you with a useful vehicle health report, which is handy for keeping on top of maintenance.
A host of driver aids and safety features are on offer, including the following:
- Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning
- Driver Alert
- Hill Start Assist
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Lane Keeping System
Engines and Performance
For the first time ever, the Tourneo Connect will have the option of all-wheel drive on models fitted with the most powerful version of the 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine, as well as the front-wheel drive 1.5-litre EcoBoost automatic with a 7-speed gearbox.
The all-new Tourneo Connect is also available as a plug-in hybrid for the environmentally conscious drivers who value smooth driving dynamics and low running costs.
As well as the diesel engine mentioned above, the Tourneo Connect is available with a sole petrol engine and another diesel option, which we've highlighted below.
