A new C-Series Edition trim is being added to Citroën’s line up and it will appear on the C3 hatch, the C3 Aircross SUV, the C4 and ë-C4, and the new C5 Aircross.

The French car maker says the C-Series Edition trim is tailored for the UK market and an example of its ‘Fair Pricing’ commitment, offering transparent prices and convenient ways of buying a well-specified new car.

Previously available only on the C3 and C3 Aircross – and formerly called C-Series – the new Edition trim is being extended across its core model ranges.

On the C3 the new specification is available priced from £17,000 while the C3 Aircross costs from £20,075.

Prices for the C4 C-Series Edition start from £25,560 and the e-C4 costs from £30,495 after the Government’s £1,500 plug-in car grant.

The larger C5 Aircross C-Series Edition is priced from £29,765.

The C3 C-Series Edition sits on specially designed 16-inch alloy wheels and comes with tinted rear windows and a bi-tone roof in either black or white.

All C-Series Edition models have an Anodised Bronze Colour Pack with bronze detailing around the front fog lights and Airbump capsules, plus special badging on the front doors.

The C3 C-Series Edition models also feature electrically folding door mirrors, as well as rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. A Visibility Pack adds automatic headlights, automatic windscreen wipers and front fog lights while a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen features DAB digital radio, Bluetooth functionality and comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The car is powered either by a 1.2-litre PureTech 83bhp petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or a 1.2-litre PureTech 110bhp petrol powerplant with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Similar treatment is found on the C4 and e-C4 models which have 10-inch touchscreens which are fully smartphone compatible and also have the Citrëon Connect Nav system with real-time traffic and speed camera alerts.

The new trim is available across the C4 range of petrol and diesel models as well as the electric ë-C4, which has a range of up to 219 miles on a full charge.

In the C5 Aircross line up, the C-Series Edition becomes the range topper and sits above the Shine trim level.

As well as the styling additions, the cars also get 19-inch alloy wheels and an electrically operated panoramic glass sunroof.

Safety features on the C5 Aircross Edition models includes a drive assist pack which includes active safety brake with video and radar assistance, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control with a stop and go feature. A powered tailgate is also fitted.

Again, the C-Series Edition specification is available across the C5 line up which features diesel, petrol, and plug-in hybrid powertrains – the latter with a zero emission range of up to 34 miles.
