With four trims options, comprising of the GT, GT Premium, GT Performance and GTS, you can tailor make your A290 exactly to your desired preference.
And, whilst adhering to Alpine's three pillars: performance, agility and lightweight, the A290 is a superb new entry point into the world of Alpine.
Design and Practicality
Sitting on large 19-inch alloy wheels, in all four trims, the Alpine A290 looks great in either guise.
A unique Alpine light signature is reimagined with a double X element as a tribute to the lamp pods which featured on old rally cars, a nod also to Alpine's racing history.
Alpine A290 has a simplistic colour choice, which is somewhat of a relief as each one helps showcase just how good the A290 looks. Choose from Deep Black, Nival White, Tornado Matte Grey, Tornado Matte Grey or Alpine Vision Blue, or choose any of these colour with a contrasting black roof.
Practicality offers a decent 326-litre boot, along with five seats and five doors as standard.
Interior, Technology, and Safety
Alpine's racing DNA can be seen in the cockpit of the A290, with a cutting-edge interior sporting a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, paired with a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, which is angled towards the driver for that enhanced feel.
Premium materials and Nappa leather ensure it's easy to get comfortable, and with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto coming as standard, getting connected and familiar adds to the overall positive experience.

Engines and Performance
Four versions of the Alpine A290 are available. These are, in order, GT, GT Premium, GT Performance and GTS.
All A290 feature a 52kWh battery, with either a 130kW motor or higher performing 160kW motor.
The GT and GT Premium produce 174bhp, can return up to 226 miles of electric range, and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 7.4 seconds.
On the other hand, the GT Performance and GTS offer 215bhp, with again up to 226 miles of range. These are the fastest accelerating version, both accelerating from 0 to 62mph in 6.4 seconds.
And, weighing in at 1,479kg, the Alpine A290 stays true to the lightweight nature of Alpine, which is extra impressive being an electric vehicle, usually known for their increased weight.
Charging
Like all electric vehicles, charging can be completed, usually overnight using a typical wall box.
The A290 also offers 100 kW DC fast-charging, allowing an 80 percent charge in 30 minutes, or alternatively 93 miles in 15 minutes.
