The Toyota Supra coupé was reintroduced to the UK market in 2019, reimagined as a two-seat sports car promising distinctive styling and a thrilling driving experience. It was built in conjunction with BMW, who build the Z4 convertible on the same platform.
Used Supra models come with either a 2.0-litre 254bhp or 3.0-litre 335bhp turbo petrol engine, though the latter is significantly more popular and widely available on the used market. It's fast too, with 0-62mph demolished in just 4.3 seconds, nearly a second faster than the lesser-powered model. All modern Toyota Supras have automatic gearboxes.
The interior is largely borrowed from its BMW counterpart, meaning materials and switchgear are of a premium nature. Standard equipment is very good, with Pro models featuring adaptive cruise control, parking sensors and a JBL premium sound system. Boot space isn't huge and there are no back seats, so it's not the most practical car in the world.
Running costs are what you might expect for a sports car of this nature, with fuel economy of around 30-35mpg and insurance groups in the high 30s range (out of 50). Servicing can be undertaken at any Evans Halshaw dealership.
