Introducing the Abarth 695
Abarth has a rich history of creating compact cars, that pack an almighty punch when it comes to performance.
This is no different with the uncanny Abarth 695, a car that is available in a number of exciting versions which celebrate what has made the company synonyms with compact high performance.
The Abarth 695 is the range-topping version of the Abarth 595, receiving more power and more punch, along with more hardcore performance versions, despite the 595 itself not exactly being tame.
Design and Practicality
The Abarth 695 features a familiar silhouette associated with the iconic Fiat 500, only instead of being chic and cute, the Abarth 695 is a more serious, aggressive and unique offering.
There's four equally exciting versions. All with unique features, whilst also adding that little more spice. The design becomes unique to each version, adding in little unique touches to signify the Abarth 695 you're looking at.
The standard car makes use of 17-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes and other goodies, whilst the Turismo version gets 3D nav and Beats Hi Fi.
Competizione trim adds in a mechanical slip differential and carbon fibre racing seats whilst the limited edition 75 Anniversario has a bespoke black and gold collection of details, such as the gold wheels and livery, along with unique Sabelt seats. All cars have their own little design touches to differ from themselves.
As for practicality, there's up to 185 litres of boot space, depending on exact specification, which can rise up to 550 litres with the rear seats folded.
Interior, Technology, and Safety
A smart driver-focused interior ensures the Abarth 695 is a neat compact package, no matter your Abarth 695 preference.
Depending on spec, racing seats hug you, for that race car feel, whilst a digital instrument cluster and 7.0-inch infotainment screen, with Apple car play/Android Auto ensure the racing feel is complemented with cutting-edge tech and connectivity.
And if you ever fancy listening to something else, rather than the rolling concert on wheels from the exhaust, then there is a crisp Audio Beats System, for superior music quality too.
Safety tech such as anti lock brakes, multiple airbags, electronic stability control. Hydraulic brake assist/hill holder.
Engines and Performance
No matter which Abarth 695 version you opt for, you can enjoy the characterful engine, which is the same throughout.
This gives the Abarth 695 a properly fun character and sense of occasion when behind the wheel, that's bound to put a smile on your face.
The chosen engine is a punchy a 1.4-litre petrol engine, producing an ample 178bhp considering its compact proportions, amplified further by a rather raucous exhaust note, especially with those equipped with the Monza exhaust.
It all adds up to a characterful experience, which sees the Abarth 695 accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 6.7 seconds.
