FuelFest UK 2019: Report

16th Aug 2019

Expectations for the first FuelFest in the United Kingdom were certainly high. And after months of anticipation and preparation, we're pleased to report the whole day was a success for all involved!

FuelFest is a car show created by Cody Walker (brother of the late Fast & Furious star, Paul Walker) and Tyrese Gibson (who plays a prominent role in the mega franchise) that brings passion for cars together through art and music. Having experienced success in the United States, they decided to bring the show to The Warren Estate in Chelmsford, Essex.

Evans Halshaw teamed up with Car Café, the popular UK car meet, to bring an eclectic mix of extraordinary and unique vehicles to the stand, which included a Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake (1 of 61 made) and the new Ford Ranger Raptor.

Although we did our best to win the game of Top Trumps with the inclusion of a 5.0-litre Ford Mustang on our stand, there were a number of cars that stole the hearts of the crowd. Cars such as a McLaren Senna and camouflage-wrapped Bugatti Veyron lined-up alongside famous Fast and Furious movie cars to create a fantastic spectacle for everyone who attended the one-day festival.

There was a variety of music and entertainment on throughout the day. However, the guest appearances from Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker were the highlight of the day. On stage, Tyrese briefly spoke about the legacy of FuelFest and how it represents everything his close friend, the late Paul Walker, believed in as a car enthusiast and advocate for charity; it was a sentiment felt throughout the crowd who had gathered in large numbers.
