Evans Halshaw Ford Transit Centre Wolverhampton are delighted to once again be in-directly supplying vehicles to the Midlands’ leading landlord, whg. Evans Halshaw will be supplying them with a new fleet of 217 commercial vehicles which will be used to provide vital housing services to their customers.

whg have started taking delivery of a mixture of Ford Transit, Transit Custom and Transit Connect models as well as 14 chassis cab vehicles with bespoke tipper bodies via their contract hire company.

The new fleet of vehicles will enable the housing provider’s teams to deliver fast and responsive repairs, along with maintenance services to more than 40,000 customers throughout the Midlands.

The company chose to re-invest in its fleet to ensure their vehicles are fit for the future, with a reliable and more environmentally-friendly range of vehicles. whg worked with their contract hire company to ensure the selection of vehicles are fit for purpose and future growth of the business.

The range of new Ford Transit vehicles, all of which feature new liveried branding for whg, include a bespoke internal storage system designed specifically for whg’s needs. It is surmised that this new system will enable colleagues to carry more equipment and thereby allow them to work more efficiently.

The company has a long-standing relationship with Evans Halshaw Ford Transit Centre Wolverhampton; having worked with them to source their third fleet of over 650 maintenance vehicles.

Darren Russell, Transport Operations Manager, said: “We’re delighted to begin taking delivery of our new fleet, which will enable us to better respond to the needs of our customers while also improving our carbon footprint.

“We started rolling out the new fleet to our trades colleagues in January and have had some great responses so far.”
