A new series of electrified models has been announced by Citroën with updates to the ë-C4, the ë-C4 X and the C5 Aircross.

The new models are called the ë-Series line-up and include more style and technology, plus the use of additional recycled materials.

All three models share key design elements such as a black bi-tone roof and black alloy wheels, as well as e-Series exterior badging.

Sitting at the top of the range for both ë-C4 and ë-C4 X ë-Series versions, the vehicles come with the new My Citroën Drive Plus infotainment system and keyless start, as well as heated front seats and an upgraded Citroën HiFi system.

ë-Series variants will be available with the existing 134bhp 50kWh powertrain with a range of up to 222 miles, as well as the new 134bhp 54kWh version with a range of up to 260 miles.

The C5 Aircross ë-Series editions now comes with Highway Driver Assist, an opening panoramic glass sunroof, and heated front seats.

The ë-Series models will be available with the 225 Plug-in Hybrid powertrain, as well as the new Hybrid 136, which uses a 134bhp PureTech petrol engine with 48V battery technology, alongside a new electrified dual-clutch e-DCS6 gearbox and a 21kW electric motor – reducing CO2 emissions by up to 15 percent.

ë-Series versions also come with Citroën’s Dark Chrome colour pack, which is applied to the front bumper inserts and the Airbump panels.

Prices for the ë-Series ë-C4 and ë-C4 X start from £36,295 while the C5 Aircross ë-Series PHEV costs from £38,375.

The prices of the other ë-Series models are still to be confirmed, and Citroën says the new cars will be available from July.

Prices are correct as of 15/06/2023 and are subject to change.
