One-in-three electric vans sold in the UK so far this year has been a Vauxhall, according to the latest new car and van registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
The May registration figures reveal Vauxhall, the best-selling e-LCV manufacturer so far this year, accounts for 33.24 percent of the electric Light Commercial Vehicle market for the first five months of 2023, with 2,493 vans sold.
The Vauxhall e-LCV range is made up of the Combo Electric, Vivaro Electric, and Movano Electric, with Vauxhall being one of the few companies in the UK able to offer an electric van across its entire LCV model line-up.
The Vivaro Electric also remains the country’s best-selling e-LCV overall, having reached 1,907 sales in the first five months of the year.
James Taylor, managing director, Vauxhall, said: “Vauxhall accounting for a third of the electric Light Commercial Vehicle market shows how strong our product line-up is. Our customers range from individuals to some of the largest fleet operators in the country, showcasing the breadth and capability of our electric vans.”
The Vivaro Electric - awarded Medium Van of the Year at the What Van? Awards 2022 and Best Medium Electric Van at the Driving Electric Awards 2022, as well as being crowned International Van of the Year 2021, offers great flexibility.
Available with a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery, it achieves a range of up to 205 miles from a single charge and comes with a maximum payload of up to 1,226kg.
