The fourth-generation Shogun was on sale in the UK from 2007 to 2019, before Mitsubishi decided it had run its course in the UK.
It's a proper old-school SUV that's more off-road warrior than a pleasant cruiser and does feel somewhat agricultural when compared to its rivals. That said, it can be had in either 5-door or 3-door bodystyles. There's one engine choice; a 197bhp 3.2-litre diesel engine capable of around 30mpg.
Being around for over a decade, interior quality is showing its age and it's typically Japanese with lots of funky readouts and dials, which are old-school in style. There's plenty of space in the 5-door version; it also has 7-seats. The 3-door makes do with 5-seats and a 290-litre boot. The larger 5-door has 221-litre boot with all 7-seats in use, and a larger 663-litre boot with 5-seats in place.
