There are just two fuss-free specifications to choose from: Essential and Comfort. Meanwhile, the Duster Commercial can be powered by strong and efficient TCe petrol or Blue dCi diesel engines.
Design and Practicality
Becoming a van means the Dacia Commercial has had its rear seats removed to allow as much cargo space as possible as well as ensuring the loading space is entirely flat with no loading lip from the tailgate.
Front passengers are protected by a bulkhead with load stop, which essentially separates the load area.
Big and bulky items can easily fit in the back thanks to the 1,623 litres of cargo space that's on offer, which is 1,792mm in length and 1,247mm wide. In addition, the Duster Commercial has a wading depth of 450mm and a ground clearance of 210mm.
Accommodating a payload of up to 503kg, the Duster Commercial is the perfect business partner for various working professionals. Plus, the fixed rear windows with an opaque film ensure the contents of the van are hidden from sight, whilst the alarm provides additional reassurance.
Technology and Safety
A simple touchscreen media system, within easy reach, is the focal point of the sturdy and spacious interior. In terms of standard equipment, both the Essential and Comfort trims are well-equipped.
Opt for the Comfort spec and you'll get a boost of technology equipment such as a MediaNav Evolution 7-inch touchscreen media system incorporating:
- Sat-nav
- USB and Aux connections
- Bluetooth for phone and media connectivity
- Smartphone connection via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety features such as rear parking sensors and a reversing camera assist the driver and make parking or difficult manoeuvres much simpler. You can also include a spare wheel as an optional extra on either trim, which doesn't take up any cargo space.
Engines and Performance
Two petrol engines are available with the front-wheel drive version of the Duster Commercial. You can choose between the TCe 90, TCe 130 and the TCe 150, which produce 89bhp, 128bhp and 150bhp respectively. Each of these engines will return up to 45.6mpg (WLTP).
A slick 6-speed dual-clutch EDC transmission is available, but it's reserved for the most powerful, 150bhp petrol engine.
If you're wanting stronger pulling power, improved fuel economy and the option of four-wheel drive you'll need to pick one of the diesel options. Both diesel variants produce 113bhp and 192lb ft of torque. Select the two-wheel drive diesel version as you should expect up to 57.7mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 128g/km.
Emissions are reduced and efficiency is enhanced thanks to the Stop&Start feature, which comes as standard on all Duster Commercial models.
