Ford Takeover at Last Nottingham Car Café 2017

04th Sep 2017

On Saturday morning, 2nd September, Evans Halshaw hosted the final Car Café in Nottingham.

Car Café is a breakfast car meet that always attracts a great variety of cars, but the season close event was every Ford enthusiast’s idea of heaven.

The meet starts at 8.30am officially, but by 8am a bay of the car park was full of performance Fords that had arrived early to get the best spot for an epic club display.

The Derbyshire RS Owners Club had a fantastic showing, lined up and creating a rainbow of Focus RS’ and a Focus ST’, with the bonnet’s popped as the crowds gathered to check out the display.

The RSOC was soon joined by fellow Ford enthusiasts as the morning progressed.

Although there was an incredible variety of modified Fiestas joining the ranks, there was certainly some main highlights in our eyes. An awesome ‘ST’ plated Focus ST-3 with scissor doors from the Electric Orange ST Owners Club quickly drew the crowds in and sat alongside an incredible MK2 RS in period Castrol/Zakspeed livery.

Along with the Ford Fiesta and Focus ranges, a couple of Mustangs joined the fun.
A ‘66’ plate grey with black racing stripes and a stunning bright red convertible sat with one of our Car Café regulars – a stunning classic Mustang that’s always a show stopper.

Other Ford classics at the meet included a ’92 Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth on show with the RSOC, and an immaculate ’78 Ford Escort Mexico.

Some of the team from Evans Halshaw Ford Lincoln had a ride out to join the Nottingham meet, showing some unusual commercial vehicles.

Ford Focus RS

These were not vans and not the standard work horse Rangers. An immaculate white Ford Ranger Wildtrak pick-up with black alloys sat proudly alongside a brand new (and mean looking) black on black Ranger Limited. They prompted much debate on the preferred specification of these members of the Ford family.

Lincoln wasn’t our furthest traveller for the meet though - Ford enthusiast, Mike, summarised a fun event:

"It was a nice morning for a 110-mile round trip and a burger. See you in 2018"
