Introducing the all-new DS 3
The new DS 3 is a daring and dynamic crossover SUV, sitting in the DS range as the successor to the DS 3 CROSSBACK. With a range of new technology added, a new design, and a refined interior, the DS 3 is sure to bring an additional touch of luxury to the DS collection.
The all-electric version, the DS 3 E-TENSE, features a brand new electric motor and battery pairing, providing increased power and range.
Both models have the distinctive DS features and showcase a balance between audacious design and technical expertise. Coming with a selection of safety features including an Advanced Safety Pack as well as wireless smartphone mirroring and hands-free access, the DS 3 is sure to providing a thrilling experience for any driver.
Design and Practicality
The DS 3 benefits from a new design with a focus on better performance and increased comfort and luxury. The front grille has been enhanced and made wider, as well as a new spoiler to improve the car's aerodynamic performance. New LED headlights are now standard across the range, giving the driver a better view of the road, while also giving the car a sharper and more dynamic look.
The attention to detail is next-level and has been applied to both the exterior and interior of the new DS 3, with the finest materials being used for both. The figure-hugging seats are covered in a spongy, dense foam to provide exceptional comfort for both driver and passengers.
With a choice of seven colours including a range of metallic and pearlescent shades to choose from, the DS 3 can be as eye-catching or minimalist as you want.
Technology and Safety
A wide range of new technology has been added to the DS 3, with a 10.3-inch high definition central infotainment screen offered as standard among a whole host of other exciting features.
The DS IRIS SYSTEM is available through the infotainment system on certain models, which offers intuitive voice recognition and connected navigation. This display screen can also be personalised and has been redesigned to improve ergonomics, providing the driver with all the key features at a simple click away.
There are also plenty of driver aids incorporated within the DS 3 as standard, including active safety brake up to 52mph, and traffic sign recognition. DS DRIVE ASSIST uses adaptive cruise control with lane keeping assist, as well as radars under the front bumpers to scan the road and offer a semi-autonomous driving experience.
Powertrains and Performance
The DS 3 comes with a choice between petrol, diesel or electric drivetrains. The two petrol options available are the PureTech 100 with 6-speed manual gearbox, or PureTech 130 with 8-speed automatic gearbox. Performance-inspired models are also available, giving drivers a more powerful, enhanced driving experience.
The 100 percent electric DS 3 E-TENSE comes with a new battery capable of providing a 250-mile range, as well as a new motor, developed using Formula E expertise to maximise efficiency and power.
The DS 3 E-TENSE can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in as little as 25 minutes with the standard 100kW onboard charger, or from 0% to 100% in just 5 hours from a standard 11kW charger.
