Combining two desirable bodystyles, the coupé SUV and the compact hatchback, the DS 4 exhibits a sophisticated and compelling design.
Available as either DS 4, DS 4 CROSS or the DS 4 PERFORMANCE LINE, you can choose between an efficient diesel engine or the DS 4 E-TENSE, which is available in the form of a self-charging hybrid (HEV) or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV).

Design and Practicality
Sharp and elegant exterior looks with a classy, plush interior; the DS 4 is impressive from all angles. Its design elements are bold and unique, setting it apart from other models on the road.
This stylish vehicle isn't all about looks though; practicality and comfort were clearly a key focus during the design stages of this premium car.
Despite being considered an amalgamation of a traditional hatchback and a coupé SUV, the boot's loadspace of 430 litres is impressive for a vehicle of this size. Plus, the powered tailgate is a hands-free opening, making loading much simpler.
Depending on the trim, five sophisticated colours are available to choose from, each carefully selected to complement the DS 4’s sculpted exterior lines and premium presence.
Striking 19-inch wheels are also standard across the range, with a distinctive design unique to each trim level, further enhancing the car's bold character and upscale stance.
Technology and Safety
Keeping the driver's eyes on the road with minimal distraction is the core focus in the digitally advanced interior of the DS 4.
The DS Extended Head Up Display delivers an immersive augmented-reality-style experience. Projected as a 21-inch diagonal image ahead on the windscreen, key driving data appears directly on the road ahead, so your attention stays exactly where it should be.
Also standard is the DS IRIS SYSTEM - a fully customisable infotainment system. Operated by voice or touch, it features a built-in personal assistant and a high-definition 10-inch central display for seamless control of essential functions.

Powertrains and Performance
Options aren't limited when it comes to selecting from the wide range of efficient powertrains available with the DS 4.
The Hybrid 136 automatic pairs a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with advanced electrification to deliver 136bhp and 170lb ft of torque. This powertrain achieves up to 54mpg, making it an ideal choice for efficient everyday driving.
For drivers covering higher mileages, the diesel 1.5-litre BlueHDi 130 automatic offers 131bhp and 221lb ft of torque.
The range-topping DS 4 E-TENSE 225 plug-in hybrid combines a 178bhp 1.6-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with a 108bhp electric motor for a total output of 225bhp. This refined powertrain enables 0 to 62mph in just 7.7 seconds, with a top speed of 145mph. It can travel up to 34 miles on pure electric power alone, and achieves up to 202mpg.
Charging
The DS 4 Hybrid 136 is a self-charging model, meaning there's no need to plug it in. It uses energy recovered during braking and deceleration to help recharge the battery while you drive, offering improved efficiency without any change to your daily routine.
For the plug-in hybrid DS 4, a full charge using a 7.4kW home wallbox with the standard 3.7kW onboard charger takes approximately 3 hours 50 minutes. When using a domestic 230V socket, a full charge takes around 7 hours 5 minutes.
Accelerated home charging points can be professionally installed, and since the charging cable comes as standard with the DS 4 E-TENSE, it’s easy to begin fast home charging right away. With a growing network of public charging stations across the UK, topping up on the go is also convenient and accessible.
