The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé is a large SUV that has sporting pretentions, emphasised by its sloping roofline and fine-tuned handling characteristics.
Based on the GLE SUV, this generation of GLE Coupé has been on sale since 2020 and utilises a selection of the same powertrains. GLE 400 d versions are the most popular, and come with a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 325bhp. This propels the GLE Coupé from 0 to 62mph in just 5.7 seconds. Faster still are the petrol powered GLE 53 and GLE 63 S AMG versions.
Practicality has taken only a small hit when compared with the GLE SUV, though rear headroom could be a problem for taller passengers. At 655 litres the boot is still pretty massive, and beats out the cargo room in the BMW X6 (580 litres) and Audi Q8 (605 litres).
