A radical new design is coming to the Hyundai SANTA FE SUV, and the fifth-generation model will have its world debut in August.
Featuring a square look front and rear, a longer wheelbase and H-shaped head and tail light clusters, Hyundai says the new SANTA FE is targeting those with a taste for adventure.
Likely to be sold as a 7-seater only, it has more cargo space than the current model and a completely fresh interior design with bold horizontal and vertical lines and an H-motif design applied to the dashboard and air vents.
High-tech features include a panoramic curved display and dual wireless charging. The curved display connects a 12.3-inch digital cluster and the car’s infotainment system.
Soft-touch wood-patterned garnish and Nappa leather feature in the trim, as do brightly coloured upholstery and headlining.
“The all-new SANTA FE is an SUV that finds a perfect balance between city life and the great outdoors, handling everything from busy family itineraries to car camping adventures,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Hyundai Global Design Centre. “With its longer wheelbase, roomy interior and terrace-like tailgate space, the new SANTA FE leans into its SUV strengths to offer more versatility than ever before as well as a premium customer experience.”
The suede headliner, car mats, and second and third-row seatbacks are made from recycled plastic, while the crash pad and door trim covers are made from eco-friendly leatherette.
No details have been revealed about powertrain options, although the current line-up features hybrid and plug-in hybrid systems.
The new SANTA FE will make its world premiere in August on Hyundai’s YouTube channel.
