The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is a luxury SUV that was sold between 2012 and 2015 here in the UK, before being replaced by the popular GLE.
Used M-Class examples are generally powered either by a 2.1-litre 4-cylinder diesel, badged ML250, or a 3.0-litre V6 diesel, known as the ML350.
The lower-powered ML250 achieves around 40 to 45mpg, whereas the V6 manages around 35 to 40mpg, but is significantly faster. Quicker still are the monstrous 5.5-litre petrol AMG versions, but these are extremely expensive to run.
