Engines and Driving Experience

Offering responsive steering and a firmer suspension setup than others in its class, the SEAT Ateca's driving experience aligns with its sporty exterior. Comfort doesn't have to be sacrificed though, thanks to comfortable seats within the cabin, making the Ateca a great all-rounder.

Practicality and Running Costs

The Ateca uses the same wheelbase as its smaller sibling, the SEAT Leon, meaning it doesn't top its class when it comes to interior space. However, by no means is it small. It still manages to match competitors and has plenty of headroom thanks to its tall dimensions.

The rear doors provide a wide opening, which is great for accessing the ISOFIX mounting points that reside within the rear seats. Boot space is also good, providing 510 litres in its standard form (485 litres if opting for a 4Drive variant), increasing to 1,604 litres with the seats folded down. All specifications of the Ateca have towing capabilities of at least 670kg unbraked, but the larger engine variants offer more pulling power.

Running costs are reasonable, with most variants residing within insurance groups 10 to 20 (out of 50). Any Evans Halshaw dealership is also able to deal with any servicing or maintenance requirements.
