Following its grand debut at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show last year, it was made clear the The Kia Picanto X-Line will remain a fun and exciting vehicle, following plans to build on the success of the newest Picanto. The all new model line has been built based on inspiration of cross-over design elements of Kia's popular SUV model lines, including the Sportage and Sorento, resulting in the latest edition to the range flaunting a bold new-look, making it a unique model, whilst staying true to the award-winning Kia design.

The Kia Picanto SUV has been a successful model for the renowned automotive company and Michael Cole, Chief Operating Officer for Kia Motors Europe, hopes that the new X-Line will be just as efficacious as the model line currently available. Cole commented:

"We launched the new Picanto in Europe earlier this year and it is already outselling its predecessor. Year-on-year, Picanto sales in the first half of 2017 grew 23% to 31,827 units, and globally it is one of our best-selling vehicles. The all-new X-Line will add to that momentum."

Picanto X-Line Exterior

Building on the bold and exciting character of the most recent Picanto, the X-Line boasts a more stylish look, with quirky lime-green highlights at the grille and fog lamp surroundings which gives the Kia Picanto SUV  a unique appearance and plenty of attitude. The presence of the new Picantos' exterior features such as Kia's signature 'tiger-nose' grille, allows the SUV to stand out from the crowd by possessing a striking existence on the road. Furthermore, thanks to the SUV-style bumpers with metal-look skidplates at the front and rear, the Kia Picanto Crossover flaunts a more confident appearance than its predecessor.

In addition to the incorporation of signature features of other Kia models into the design idiom, black cladding around the wheel arches can be found on the SUV-inspired model, ensuring the X-Line showcases uniqueness that sets it apart from the crowd by visually enhancing the raised ground clearance. The X-line also boasts premium features including, 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels, aluminium pedals, LED daytime running lights and fog lamps, shark-fin antenna, and keyless entry.


Kia Picanto X-Line Interior and Technology

Activating the same confident styling as the exterior, whilst offering undeniable comfort, the X-Line also offers class-leading cabin space and ensures more leg and head-room than its competitors. In addition to the spacious cabin, a generous boot capacity of 255 litres is offered, whilst the 60:40 split-folding rear seats increase capacity to 1,010 litres when folded flat.

The inside the X-Line boasts an amalgamation of trendy features such as the D-cut steering wheel which is fitted as standard and contrast colour packs - which allow individual needs and style to be met. The cabin of the X-Line variant also features grey faux leather upholstery and flaunts a lively feel, accommodating motorists for a fun and exciting ride.

The new Kia Picanto SUV also comes with a large 7.0-inch 'floating' touchscreen Human-Machine Interface (HMI), which provides navigation with 3D maps, as well as Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Further innovative features are offered with the all-new Picanto model line, including a rear-view parking camera, wireless smartphone charger and USB port - offering convenience within everyday life.

The Picanto X-Line is equipped with Kia's 1.0-litre T-GDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine, making it the most powerful Picanto ever. Despite being powered by a moderately powerful engine that produces 100ps, the X-Line model is able to accelerate from 0-to-62 mph in 10.1 seconds. This new Picanto exerts high efficiency and low emissions (CO2 emissions from 104 g/km), meaning it is cost effective and economical - aspects which Kia pride themselves on.

The all-new Picanto X-Line offers an array of safety features and innovative technologies, the combination of which make the new model one of the safest vehicles that Kia has ever produced. The SUV-inspired model provides motorists with Kia's DRiVE WISE technologies, including the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) feature. This safety allows the road ahead to be monitored, warning the driver of potential collisions and also automatically applies the brakes if an unexpected obstacle or is detected.
