Introducing the new Hyundai Tucson

Already a strong contender in the SUV segment, the Hyundai Tucson exhibits an exciting new facelift. The new model is enhanced with an updated style, extra technology and extended safety features.

Available in four levels of trim - S Connect, SE Nav, Premium and Premium SE, the New Hyundai Tucson is the perfect asset for families and SUV enthusiasts alike.

The new Tucson also occupies a new selection of engine variants including a mild hybrid option, engaging with the upcoming market for electric motors. The mild hybrid system is compliant alongside the new 8-speed transmission with the 2.0 CRDi 185PS Premium or Premium SE 4WD trims.

The ample amount of space is one of the Hyundai Tucson’s finest qualities. The generous front and rear space cater for all occupants, offering plenty of leg and head room. The classic SUV endures an attractive facelift, enhancing its body with the supplementary signature cascading grille amongst a newly fashioned headlight, fog lights, front bumper and skid plate.

The range has been extended to accommodate new wheel designs including 16”, 17”, 18” and 19” sizes dependant on trim. Additional features include the refreshed bumper, exhaust and an all new rear light.

Exclusive to the new Tucson, Hyundai are offering three all new exterior colours - the Olivine Grey, Stellar Blue and Champion Blue.

The new Tucson is equipped  with all the latest technology, including wireless phone charging, advanced entertainment and navigation, accommodating for Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. The luxury 7.0” touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth is available from the entry S Connect trim level. However, you can upgrade to the SE Nav model and benefit from satellite navigation and LIVE services, ensuring you’re always in the loop with real-time TomTom Traffic information.

A new touch screen display audio system with DAB, Apple Car PlayTM and Android AutoTM has been fitted across the Tucson range. A rear camera parking display is also housed within the unit. SE Nav models and above feature satellite navigation and LIVE Services.

The new Tucson offers a solid range of petrol and diesel engine variants to suit various suitability and needs. The facelift introduces an 8-speed automatic transmission, providing a smoother gear change, whilst keeping a standard 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission on certain trim levels.

The 8-speed transmission with the 2.0 CRDi 185PS Premium or Premium SE 4WD trims, comprises the mild hybrid system containing 0.44 kW/h 48-volt lithium-ion battery, a Mild Hybrid Starter Generator (MHSG), an LDC converter (Low Voltage DC/DC) and an inverter.

Of course, you can expect a reduction on fuel consumption with the new mild hybrid engine, which automatically uses the energy alternative when required.

Safety Technology

Hyundai manages its safety features, ensuring they’re as advanced and as up to date as possible. The Tucson boasts many safety assets including Daytime Running Lights (LED), a Rear Camera, the Brake Assist System (BAS), a Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and much more.

Additional to the new Hyundai Tucson is the Autonomous Emergency Braking function also known as AEB. The system aims to warn the driver of a potential collision, braking and slowing down the car as a precaution. The system uses a front mounted camera, detecting danger by monitoring the traffic ahead.

Another addition is the Lane Keep Assist (LKA) which coordinates your position on the road. The front camera is used to asses the lines on the road, giving you the peace of mind that if you were to lose control – your Tucson would apply counter-steering torque to direct the car back onto the correct course. The car will also alert the driver if there was an event of an accidental lane departure.
