Introducing the All-New Hyundai Kona Electric SUV

Hyundai is set to introduce the first fully electric subcompact SUV, the All-New Kona Electric, to the European market. Having already received several awards for their hybrid model, the IONIQ, Hyundai is no stranger to producing fantastic economical cars.

Combining the two most popular automotive trends of today - electrification and SUV style - the All-New Kona Electric will reflect the lifestyle of modern customers.

This new fully electric version of the Kona provides ease of mind due to its low environmental impact as well as delivering an exciting driving experience. The release date of the Hyundai Kona Electric is set for October 2018.

The All-New Kona Electric Performance: efficiency without compromising power.

There are two separate powertrain versions of the Hyundai All-New Kona Electric. The long-range engine offers a range of up to 292 miles on a 64 kWh battery and can accelerate the model from 0-62mph in an impressive 7.6 seconds.

With the more basic electric engine, battery capacity offers up to 186 miles on a single charge and delivers 99 kW with energy consumption sitting at just 14.8 kWh!

Charging this new model to 80% takes around 54 minutes, given the owner is using a 100 kW direct current fast charger. If plugged into the 7,2 kw on-board-charger, which uses an alternating current, the time to charge for a long-range battery pack will be around 9 hours and 40 minutes and 6 hours 10 minutes for the shorter-range.

If there's one thing that Hyundai have promised with this new fully electric model, it's that they will not compromise on anything, especially performance and efficiency.
