Exterior Style

As panel vans go, there is no denying that the new Berlingo is business as usual when it comes to van styling. However, it is unmistakably Citroen with styling cues inherited from the Citroen car range. Dependant on specification, you’ll get standard steel wheels and daytime running lights, with alloy wheels available on higher specification models, along with useful sliding side doors, and the usual 180° opening rear doors.

Length Variants

The 2018 Citroen Berlingo Van will be offered in the standard M, and the longer XL. Firstly, the standard M is 4.4 metres long with a wheelbase of 2.78 metres. This is joined by a 3.3 cubic metre cargo volume.

The longer and larger XL has been extended to 4.75 metres long, with an enhanced wheelbase totalling 2.97 metres. Cargo volume is up to 3.9 cubic metres too.

Payload weights range from 650kg, all the way up to 1000kg. To make sure you don’t exceed the payload, the new Citroen Berlingo Van has an extremely useful overload indicator as well.

Interior Features and Technology

Van technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years. Therefore, the new Citroen Berlingo Van range features adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, active braking and useful Surround Rear Vision – which comes in the form of a 5-inch colour screen, mounted centrally at the top of the windscreen. This gives the driver a clear view of the rear of the van and surroundings for enhanced safety and manoeuvrability.

Options include three seats in the front too, with the gearstick mounted on the dashboard, to ensure passengers have enhanced legroom and space. Higher specification vans are even treated to an 8-inch colour touchscreen for enhanced appeal amongst the cabin, of which vans tend to be pretty basic – not the case with the Berlingo.
