Kia has come a long way in recent years. The quality, the design, the technology – they have all combined to bring Kia their well- deserved success.
Yet again, 2017 has been another great year for Kia, as they have recently won not one, but three illustrious iF Design Awards for the excellent design showcased in a number of their latest models, in the iF product design category.
iF Design Awards
Since 1953, the iF Design Awards have become one of the world’s most highly recognised prizes for design excellence. The awards are presented via seven categories: Product, Packaging, Architecture, Interior Design, Service Design, Communication and Professional Concepts. In 2017, Kia had some fierce competition with over 5,500 products put forward to be judged. The judging panel consisted of 58 design experts from all over the world.
What’s more, Kia were up against companies from 59 countries, so to come out on top on three occasions is an amazing achievement!
The award-winning models
Awards were given to the state-of-the-art Niro hybrid crossover, the ultra-practical Optima Sportswagon and all-new Rio hatchback. This isn’t the first time Kia has been commended for their models. Incredibly, this is the eighth year in a row that Kia has one at least one iF Design Award.
With exciting models, such as the Kia Stinger to be released in the not too distant future, the future of Kia certainly looks great for the Korean car manufacturer. Can they make it nine years in a row? Watch this space!
