FordStore Preston More Photos

FordStore Preston officially opened their doors to the public on Thursday 28th June with a spectacular event.

The new dealership has undergone a huge refurbishment and now features innovative and interactive technology including four separate zones to support customers through their journey. The zones are 'Hello', 'Discover', 'Relax' and 'Thank you', each aimed at making the car-buying process easy and stress-free.

From 4-7pm, 175 customers enjoyed free treats from Bubble Waffles and coffee from Coffee Bike as they listened to FordStore Preston team members explain all about different parts of the showroom.

Attendees also had the opportunity to get up close and personal with several Ford models on display including the All-New Ford GT - the next generation of supercar.

Displayed alongside the new Ford GT was an original 2005 Ford GT model, built for Ford's centenary celebrations and a stunning MK1 Ford Escort. Both heritage vehicles were showcased to give attendees the opportunity to explore the history of Ford.

A bit of healthy competition was added to the evening in the shape of a Forza Motorsport race on Xbox. The fastest lap, which was achieved by Kevin Steward at 58.60 seconds, won a Ford Mustang for the weekend!

It was fantastic to see Andy Barratt, Managing Director of Ford and Martin Casha, COO of Pendragon PLC, who were there to officially open the new FordStore.

Paul Bury, Chairman of Ford RS Owners Club gave a brilliant talk, which was followed by presenting Andy Barratt with a heritage Ford RS Owners Club montage framed picture.

Dealer Principal, Will Bradshaw, said:

"I am so very proud to be heading up FordStore Preston on a day like today - the launch event. It's been 30 years since the original build and sharing this with team members and customers who have been here from day one is a pleasure and an honour. Having the support of our customers here, including the RS owners club, made the day fantastic. Thank you to everyone"
