This latest generation of C4 Picasso is certainly striking, and is like nothing else on the road. The futuristic looks are emphasised by the twin-optic headlights, daytime running lights and subtle doble chevron grille design that leaves you in no doubt as to who created this car.

All models of the C4 Picasso get alloy wheels, remote central locking, and this wonderful panoramic windscreen. The Exclusive model we have here adds front fog lights, rear parking sensors, keyless entry, 17 inch alloys and a chrome side signature.

Citroen C4 Picasso Review

The C4 Picasso is safer than ever, with standard safety equipment including ABS, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist and air bags for the driver, passenger and rear seat occupants. All these features result in the car being awarded 5-stars for safety by Euro NCAP.

The interior of the C4 Picasso is both luxurious and spacious. There's two driver information screens, with the lower 7 inch screen giving you control of the audio, telephone and climate control functions, while the larger 12 inch HD screen on top of the dashboard relays vital driver information. It also transforms into a rear-view parking camera when reverse gear is selected.

All models come with the 7 inch Touch Drive multimedia screen, front and rear electric windows, cruise control, an engine start button, Bluetooth and USB/MP3 compatibility with steering wheel audio controls. On this Exclusive model, DAB digital radio, dual-zone climate control, satellite navigation, reversing camera and keyless start are all included.

In the back you'll find three full-size adjustable rear seats, an additional 12-volt power socket and aircraft-style rear seat tables with cupholders, and there's plenty of storage around the whole cabin, including storage under the floors.

Engines include the efficient 114PS 1.6-litre e-HDI diesel, or the more powerful 2-litre Blue HDi diesel. Both engines achieve over 70 miles per gallon combined with CO2 emissions of just over 100 grams per kilometre. Both engines can be mated to an automatic gearbox as well.

A slightly longer wheelbase has increased the boot capacity over the previous generation of C4 Picasso. It's now a roomy 537 litres, which can be expanded to 630 litres with the sliding rear seats in their most forward position. With the rear seats folded flat into the floor the capacity increases to a whopping 1851 litres.

The boot light is also removable, which we can guarantee you'll use more than you think.

Overall the Citroen C4 Picasso is one of the best family cars on sale in the UK. It's premium quality and useful features set it apart in the MPV sector.
