The exterior of the C3 is curvy and refined, with a bold front grille design that incorporates the iconic Citroen chevrons. The VTR plus model we've got here features LED daytime running lights, electrically adjustable mirrors, remote central locking and 15" alloy wheels.
Safety is provided by ABS, electronic stability control and a multitude of airbags on the inside, all of which helped the C3 to achieve 4-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
Inside the C3, there's an array of features that you may not expect to find on such a well-priced car. Air conditioning is standard, as is Bluetooth connectivity for telephone functionality and media streaming. USB and AUX connectivity is also included, while cruise control, a leather steering wheel and electric windows help make driving the C3 comfortable and easy. Chrome touches on the hand brake lever and door handles give the interior a quality feel. The rear seats split and fold, and there's ISOFIX mounting points and electronic child locks too.
Under the bonnet, you can choose from either 1-litre or 1.2-litre petrols, and either 1.4-litre or 1.6-litre HDi diesels. The most popular 1.4-litre HDi generates 70PS of power, and is good for 72mpg on the combined cycle. Blue HDI 1.6 versions can achieve 83mpg combined, and automatic models are available too.
The boot is a good size, offering 300 litres of space, more than enough for the weekly shop. With the rear seats folded down, this increases to over 1000 litres.
Overall, the C3 is a practical and spacious model, with plenty of room for families and a good level of specification.
