Vauxhall Combo 2015 Review

The Vauxhall Combo is a practical and versatile van. A wide range of customization options which allow modification to the load space, passenger space and internal storage, make the Combo ideal for small business use.

The Combo comes with a choice of two economical diesel engines offering up to 135PS, and a host of interior options which includes cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and parking sensors.

New Vauxhall Offers

Consecutive winner of What Van?'s Light Van of the Year award in 2013 and 2014, The Combo provides a practical and cost-efficient solution to all your small business needs.

Seen here in its standard trim option, the Combo is also available in Sportive trim, which adds a number of features, including air conditioning, body-coloured mirrors and bumpers, and a soundproofed bulkhead as well as nearside sliding side-access to the load-space.

Customisation doesn't stop there, as the Combo can be configured in either long or short wheelbase variants, and with the option to extend the roof height by 255mm as shown here. On short-wheelbase models, this increases the storage capacity by 600 litres, taking the total loading potential to an impressive 4000 litres.

Loading the vehicle is easy thanks to the flat load lip and doors that can open 180* with a quick release mechanism. The 1230mm load width between the wheel arches means that the combo can easily accommodate two Euro Pallets, even in its short wheel-based form.

Interior

If it's passenger space you're after, the Combo is also available as a Crew Van, which adds a row of 60/40 split seats, allowing the vehicle to seat up to 5 people while retaining a load-space volume of 1400 and 1900 litres for the short and long wheelbases respectively.

Inside the cabin, the Combo is spacious, and storage is plentiful with the optional overhead shelf fitted. Standard features include electric windows and a full-height, windowless bulkhead, while further options include a CD radio with USB, auxillary and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control and reverse parking sensors.

Engines

Engine availability varies depending on body style, and ranges from a 1.4l 95PS petrol engine to a 2.0 135PS CDTi Diesel. The best fuel economy is achieved by the 1.3l 90PS ecoFLEX diesel, which manages 57 mpg while emitting just 129g of CO2 per km.

With an impressive degree of customisation available, there's sure to be a Combo to suit your needs, so to see our best Combo offers.
