The Volvo V70 is an estate car that offers a spacious interior as well as bundles of technology as standard.
After 20 years and three generations Volvo brought V70 production to an end in 2016, replacing it with the more contemporary V90. Don't panic though, due to the V70's popularity you'll still be able to find plenty of excellent examples on the used car market.
Both petrol and diesel engines are available, with the latter being more common thanks to its impressive fuel economy figures. The most frugal is the 2.0-litre D3 diesel which offers up to 68.9mpg, while the less common petrol engines offer punchier 0 to 62mph times.
Volvo weren't shy when it came to equipment either, with features such as satellite navigation and rear parking sensors available within the range.
