The Prius can be described as decently practical, particularly for a 2+2 family. The front is very spacious while rear head and legroom are great for kids and reasonable for adults.
Boot capacity is good too, thanks to the lift-back design, with 457 litres of boot space more than a match for the similarly-profiled Hyundai IONIQ (443 litres) and family hatchbacks like the Volkswagen Golf (381 litres). Running costs are where the Prius excels, because fuel economy well into the 60mpg range can be achieved through careful driving.
